Dimagi, Inc., in partnership with Women for Women International, has created “Coach Carene” and “Coach Ana,” two chatbots that provide vocational and financial literacy training and other resources for women in Rwanda. These chatbots offer users access to financial coaching and support resources. Dimagi and partners worked with women to ensure this innovative mobile solution adds extensive value through skill-refreshers, income generation support, coaching, access to local resources and ongoing vocation training, and goal setting/budget setting assistance. Dimagi’s work under the WCC grant tapped into three of the proven strategies—designing creative women-centric technology, creating economic opportunities, and cultivating women’s confidence—as the basis for its work.
